Summary: which products stood out?
Men's thermal trousers usually get less attention than the jacket, but they matter a lot for comfort during a day in the snow. They sit against the body, help manage moisture and add insulation under the waterproof shell.
The problem is that listings mix very different products: casual leggings, fleece-lined trousers, hiking fleece pieces, ski-specific models and even complete top-and-trouser sets.
We analysed ten selected Mercado Livre listings. One of the links received was duplicated and was consolidated. We also found two different Decathlon pages for the same Quechua MH100 model; they appear together in the comparison, but each link was preserved.

What does a good base-layer trouser need to do?
For skiing and snowboarding the first layer should fit relatively close without restricting movement. The goal is to move moisture away from the skin and support the insulation of the other layers.
Very thick or fleece-lined models can be comfortable for people who feel the cold and for gentler activities. On intense descents, however, too much insulation can increase sweating. A moderately warm, breathable piece usually offers more flexibility when combined with a good outer trouser.
Avoid cotton. When wet with sweat it dries slowly and can make you feel colder during breaks. Remember too that thermal trousers are not waterproof: protection from snow, wind and water must come from the outer layer.

Although this article focuses on thermal trousers, this listing offers a complete set: trousers and a long-sleeved top, both fleece-lined inside. When consulted it showed 4.8 out of 5, 311 reviews and more than a thousand sales — the most consistent history among the clearly snow-oriented options.

These standalone trousers state a composition of 92% polyester and 8% elastane, a slim cut and a proposition of moving moisture to the outside of the fabric. When consulted they showed 4.8 out of 5, 33 reviews and more than 100 sales.

One listing showed 4.3 out of 5 from 12 reviews; the other, 4.9 from 35 reviews. Both recorded more than 100 sales when consulted.

Our conclusion
For anyone who needs both trousers and a top, the Extreme Thermo set is the safest editorial choice here, because it combines a clear proposition, fleece on both pieces and the best public history among the products aimed at intense cold.
To buy trousers only, the 92% polyester and 8% elastane model offers the best balance of information, reviews and versatility. The Wedze Ski Timeless 500 is the most piste-specific option at 210 g/m², but the listing has little history and an inconsistency in the fit description.
The Quechua MH100 is technically well documented and has a two-year warranty, although it was developed for hiking and can be bulkier under ski trousers. For larger sizes, the two-trouser G1-to-G4 kit is the most interesting proposition.
The popular God Talent leggings can serve outings and moderate cold, but popularity and a low price do not replace a men's fit and moisture management during intense activity.

Good men's thermal trousers need to work with the other layers: move moisture, allow movement and provide the insulation needed without excessive bulk. In the snow, balance is usually more useful than simply picking the thickest piece.

- Mid layer
- The intermediate layer responsible for insulation: fleece, microfleece or light down. It is the piece you add or remove according to the temperature of the day.
- Shell / outer layer
- The outer layer, responsible for blocking wind and water. It can be a hardshell (stiff, no insulation) or an insulated jacket, combining barrier and thermal filling.
- Waterproof rating (mm)
- Measured in millimetres of water column. Around 5,000 mm suits dry snow and light use; 10,000 to 20,000 mm covers wet days, heavy snow and long use.
- Breathability (g/m²/24h)
- How much vapour the fabric lets out in 24 hours. The higher the value, the less clammy you get during intense activity. It matters if you ski all day or hike uphill.
- Flex
- The boot's stiffness index. Low numbers (60–80) flex easily and suit beginners; high numbers (100+) transmit more force to the ski and demand technique.
