Bariloche and Patagonia
Argentine Patagonia is where our snow story began, in 1994, and it remains the most accessible destination for a first trip out of Brazil: a short flight, the same time zone and a cost well below the northern hemisphere.
Snow in Chile
Chile has resorts a few hours from Santiago, which allows short trips combining city and mountain. Valle Nevado sits above 3,000 m, an altitude that calls for an easier first day and attention to hydration.
Colorado and the United States
Colorado is the destination we repeat the most. The snow is dry and temperatures often sit well below zero, a combination that rewards insulation and face and extremity protection more than extreme waterproofing.
European Alps
In the Alps the scale changes: huge linked areas, villages connected by lifts and the option of having lunch in another country. Cervinia and Zermatt are the classic example of that Italy–Switzerland link.
Canada
Eastern Canada has one striking feature: intense cold combined with wind, with a wind chill often far below the thermometer reading.
