Fernando has snowboarded since 1994. Lorena has skied since 2014. Since 2023, Eduardo and Lívia have travelled with us — one on a snowboard, the other on skis. This site is the notebook from those trips.

When the children joined the story
In 2023, in Beaver Creek, Eduardo started snowboarding at 5 and Lívia started skiing at 3. Each had at least three private lessons and both adapted well. That was our family's experience — it is not an age recommendation for every child, nor medical advice.
How to dress in three layers
A base layer to move sweat away, insulation to hold heat and a waterproof shell for wind and snow. It's the method that answers most questions before a first trip.

- Base layers (ideally one per day on the slope)
- Mid layer (fleece or down)
- Waterproof jacket and pants
- Snow-specific socks
- Gloves or mittens with long cuffs
- Beanie, balaclava or neck gaiter
- Helmet and goggles
- Sunscreen and lip balm
- Sunglasses for travel days
- Closed, non-slip shoes for the village
- Documents, travel insurance and a plug adapter
