Snow in Chile
Chile has resorts a few hours from Santiago, which allows short trips combining city and mountain. Valle Nevado sits above 3,000 m, an altitude that calls for an easier first day and attention to hydration.
Pucón, further south, has a different profile: volcano, lakes and less slope infrastructure. It is better for scenery and light snow days than for long ski days.
